About

Fisher River Cree Nation is a Cree First Nations reserve located about 193 km north of Winnipeg. The First Nation is composed of two reserves; Fisher River 44 and Fisher River 44A, and has a total of 15,614 acres (6,319 hectares). Fisher River is named after the North American mammal, fisher. As of June 2021, the Nation has a total of 4,094 registered members, including 1,488 residing on their own reserve.
