Annapolis Valley First Nation is a band composed of two Mi'kmaq community reserves located in southwestern Nova Scotia. It is the second smallest First Nation community in Nova Scotia in terms of population. In 1984 Glooscap First Nation separated from Annapolis Valley First Nation and became its own community. As of August 2021, the Annapolis Nation had 312 registered members, including 124 residing on their own reserve. The native language of the people is Mi`kmaq.
