Black River First Nation

About

Black River First Nation is an Ojibwa First Nation located around O'Hanley, Manitoba, along the O'Hanley and Black Rivers, on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg. It is 32 km north of Pine Falls, and around 150 kilometers north of Winnipeg. The First Nation has as its reserve the 809.3 ha Black River 5 Indian Reserve. Black River First Nation is a member of the Southeast Resource Development Council Corporation. As of June 2021, the Nation has a total of 1,482 registered members, including 984 residing on their own reserve.
