Dakota Plains Wahpeton First Nation is a band located in South Central Manitoba, 20 miles southwest of Portage La Prairie. It borders the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie and the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne. The First Nation is a member of the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council. The registered population as of May 2021 is 251, of which 157 reside on their own reserve.
