Emmonak is a city in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 762, Emmonak, Alaska is located 490 miles from Anchorage in Western Alaska. The village currently has 762 residents of which 97% are Yup’ik Eskimo People according to recent U.S. Census Data. Economically, Emmonak has a strong reliance on seasonal subsistence hunting and fishing. Residents travel to subsistence fish camps during summer months to dry salmon for consumption in the winter.
