Igiugig Village

About

Iguiugig Village is located in Alaska.  The word Igiugig means, "Like a throat that swallows  water". The village is named for its location, it is near Lake Iliamna, at the mouth of the Kvichak River. Most of the population is made up of Yupik Eskimos, Aleuts, and Athabascan Indians.
