About
McDowell Lake First Nation is a small Oji-Cree First Nation band located in Northern Ontario, approximately 155 km northeast of Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, on the central-western shore of McDowell Lake.
The First Nation has reserved for itself the MacDowell Lake Indian Settlement, also known as MacDowell Lake, Ontario. It is part of the Keewaytinook Okimakanak Council (Northern Chiefs) and the Nishnawbe Aski Nation. As of May 2021, the band's total registered population was 56.
