Misipawistik Cree Nation, formerly Grand Rapids First Nation, is a Cree band in Northern Manitoba. The First Nation is located near Grand Rapids, Manitoba, 400 km North of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Misipawistik Cree Nation has one reserve (Grand Rapids 33) with an area of 1,852.30 hectares. It is a member of the Swampy Cree Tribal Council. The people of Misipawistik are largely ancestral descendants of indigenous Cree peoples. As of June 2021, the Nation has a total of 2,200 registered members, including 1,4312 residing on their own reserve. Cree and English are the two languages most widely used by the people of the band.
