The Musqueam Indian Band is a First Nations band in British Columbia. It is the only First Nations band whose reserve community lies within the boundaries of the City of Vancouver. The Musqueam people are the oldest known residents of Vancouver and their ancestors are the Coast Salish. The people's traditional language is hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓, the Downriver Dialect of the Salishan language Halkomelem.
