About
The Northlands First Nation is a band in northwestern Manitoba, Canada. It is a Dene or Denesuline population that was part of a larger group once called the "Caribou-eaters". The village of Lac Brochet is the administrative centre of the First Nation. The band members speak Dene as their mother tongue and English. The territories of the First Nation are Lac Brochet 197A that contains the village of Lac Brochet, Sheth Chok, Thuycholeeni, Thuycholeeni Aze, and Tthekale Nu. As of June 2021, the Nation has a total of 1,150 registered members, including 974 residing on their own reserve.
