Old Massett Village Council

Old Massett Village Council is a band of the Haida people located in Old Massett, on Haida Gwaii. The village of Old Massett is on the northern shore of Graham Island, the largest and most northern island of Queen Charlotte Islands. The band was historically four separate villages and is home to X̱aada families who previously lived in a number of different villages. X̱aad Kil is the traditional language of the residents. The band is a member of the Council of the Haida Nation, the main governing body of the Haida people. As of June 2021, the Nation had 3,150 registered members, including 705 residing on their own reserve.
