Prophet River First Nation is a band located 100km south of Fort Nelson, British Columbia, on the world-famous Alaska Highway at Mile 233. The band's reserve is 924 acres in size. The traditional territory of the Prophet River First Nation is situated mainly in the boreal forest region of northeastern British Columbia. The people's native language is Dane-Zaa, and the band is a member of Treaty 8 First Nations. As of July 2021, the Nation had 296 registered members, including 99 residing on their own reserve.
