Quatsino First Nation

About

The Quatsino First Nation is a First Nations band of the Gwat'sinux subgroup of the Kwakwaka'wakw peoples. It is located in the Quatsino Sound region on the west coast of northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The band is a member of the Kwakiutl District Council and, for treaty negotiation purposes, the Winalagalis Treaty Group. The band's reserve lands include Kultah 4, located on the east shore of the north end of Quatsino Narrows. As of June 2021, the Nation had a total of 595 registered members, including 247 residing on their own reserve.
