Soowahlie First Nation

About

The Soowahlie First Nation, or Soowahlie Band, is a band of the Sto:lo people located in the Upper Fraser Valley region at Cultus Lake, British Columbia, Canada. It is a member of the Stó:lō Tribal Council. The Reserve land area currently comprises 533.4 hectares. Its reserves are Grass Indian Reserve No. 15, Pekw'Xe:yles (Peckquaylis) (shared with 20 other bands), and Soowahlie Indian Reserve No. 14. As of June 2021, the Nation had a total of 409 registered members, including 171 residing on their own reserve.
