Stswecem'c Xgat'tem First Nation

The Stswecem'c Xgat'tem First Nation, created as a result of the merger of the Canoe Creek Band and Dog Creek Band, is a band of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) Nation, located in the Fraser Canyon-Cariboo region of the Central Interior of British Columbia. It is about 85 km southwest of Williams Lake. The First Nation is a member of the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council. Its traditional language is Secwepemc. As of June 2021, the Nation had a total of 776 registered members, including 243 residing on their own reserve.
