About

The Tataskweyak Cree Nation is a First Nations band whose primary community is at Split Lake, Manitoba on the Nelson River system. It is 169 km (105 miles) west of Gillam, Manitoba, and 143 km (89 miles) west of Thompson, Manitoba on Provincial Road 280 in Manitoba’s far north. As of June 2021, the Nation has a total of 4,030 registered members, including 2,346 residing on their own reserve.
