About
Thessalon First Nation is an Ojibwe First Nation in Algoma District, Ontario. Its reserve is located at Thessalon 12. The band is a member of the Anishnabek Nation. The traditional territory of Thessalon First Nation was established through extensive use and mutual recognition between Anishinaabe and the communities of the area.
Thessalon First Nation is 4 square miles that consist of residential and commercial space. The First Nation consists of the lake shore settlement of 2,261 acres as well as the 104 square miles North of Thessalon Township. As of May 2021, the Nation has a total of 936 registered members, including 113 residents.
