About
The Toquaht Nation is a modern treaty First Nation located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It is a member of the Maa-nulth Treaty Society and the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council. The Toquaht are the people of Toquaht Bay, Mayne Bay, and western Barkley Sound, and are one of the Nuu-chah-ulth Nations who have lived along Vancouver Island's west coast for over 10,000 years. As of June 2021, the Nation had a total of 152 registered members, including 10 residing on their own reserve.
