Tseycum First Nation

The Tseycum First Nation is a First Nations band located on Vancouver Island. In the 1850s the First Nation was a signatory to the Douglas Treaties. Tseycum is one of the four Saanich villages of Southern Vancouver Island, based at the centre of Patricia Bay on the Saanich Peninsula. In the Sencoten language, Tseycum is spelled Wsikem and means Land of Clay. As of June 2021, the Nation had a total of 198 registered members, including 78 residing on their own reserve.
