About

Wasauksing First Nation (formerly named Parry Island First Nation) is an Ojibway, Odawa, and Pottawatomi First Nation band whose reserve is located near Parry Sound in Ontario, Canada. Its reserve constitutes the Parry Island in Georgian Bay. The island is about 19,000 acres with 78 miles of lakeshore, making it one of the larger islands in the Great Lakes. As of May 2021, the Nation has a total of 1,343 registered members, including 402 residents.
