The Southern California Indian Center (SCIC) is a non-profit organization that helps American Indians, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians in Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties. SCIC was founded in 1969 and has been helping people in these communities for over 50 years.
SCIC provides a variety of services, including:
- Workforce development: SCIC helps people find jobs and learn new skills.
- Youth education: SCIC provides tutoring, mentoring, and other programs to help young people succeed in school.
- Family support: SCIC provides counseling, support groups, and other services to help families stay strong.
- Multimedia training: SCIC offers training in digital media, such as video production and graphic design.
SCIC's goal is to promote self-sufficiency in the American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. SCIC believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed, and they are committed to helping people in these communities reach their full potential.
